And with this I have reached a milestone on my quest toward being able to confidently produce fanart; posting it on dreamwidth. Make no mistake; I feel terrible about my art. I figure a lot of it is due to my depressive period and lack of practice though, so I'm gonna work long and hard at overcoming it, because -gasp- I'm rediscovering that drawing can be pretty fun! So here it is; the first time I've taken drawing seriously since 2009.

A while ago I wondered what to draw, and since Manda had offered to write me porn (the most valuable of currencies, I think you'll agree) I let her prompt me. She wanted a KuroFai kiss on the forehead with Kurogane getting all embarrassed and blushy-faced. What resulted was the first piece I've actually finished from sketch through lineart to colouring in several years. (I don't feel very good about the result, but when do I ever? If nothing else I can at least feel good about the fact that I finally did it.) My first adventures in PaintTool SAI. I've no idea how tan people blush, but I assume they're at least not as luminous as pale people. I am also never going to shade anything as dark as Kurogane's jacket ever again I swear, I couldn't see jack of what I was doing. Thanks for the opportunity Manda, hope you enjoy~

What I am actually most pleased with in this dump! Have raptor!Fai. I sort of wanted to make him a lot more birdlike but this piece had started as a sort of anatomy-practice and I also wanted to keep the bits of the human body that I liked... so it became a crossbreed thing. I may have to draw more bird!Fais with stuff I left out from this one, like tailfeathers and birdfeet... And the bunny is not in human form because I was too lazy and was not about to figure out another person in there, also "How do I human gore?!" Just pretend Fai is a bird or the bunny is a person and the amount of blood should be more proportionately accurate to the carnage.

And then we have some old sketches and such, most of which has already been posted on tumblr, but I figure there's no harm in cramming them in here as well while I'm at it.

FYI you are totally working overtime already as my art muse. I had originally planned to dig deep, work really hard, and hopefully get one picture drawn for either Christmas or - if I wasn't able to get started in time - New Year's. Xia will back me up on this; I whined to her about my art block right before Thanksgiving.

I currently have seven pictures inked and am working on another one, and hope to have them all colored and scanned for Christmas. Four of them are fic-fanarts. You are inspiration personified.

HOLY CRAP THAT'S A LOT. And here I was having some sliver of hope that I'd be able to keep up with you. xD I know it's not a "competition", I mean I'm all fired up to draw thanks to you too, and I want to draw ALL THE THINGS and have as fun as you do. ówò

You flatter me Kitteeeeenn~! No but really, knowing I inspired you means so much to me. Cause like, I am so fascinated by the fact that all people affect each other all the time, wether directly or indirectly, and the fact that I not only made a person on the other side of the globe smile but also got them to do a bunch of things makes me all warm and fuzzy and fluttery inside~

I think it's more than I've ever drawn in one streak. Ever. I'm completely taken aback, myself. You're magical. LOL

Modern days are wonderful indeed, with telephones and video conference and the internet making distances much less of an obstacle to interaction. ^^ And gathering sites like Dreamwidth and the KuroFai and CLAMPkink communities are so much fun too, where we can all trade ideas and thoughts and crack. XD
